Also using the old definition a local growth that hasn’t invaded adjacent tissue isn’t a cancer.  Patients are harmed by chemo and radiation of indulent small tumors.  Clear, important, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6Yjod5R7Ow Excellent

The epidemic of fake disease, 21 min, 733,000 Uses stents as positive diagnosis  (he is wrong that stents save lives; it is the immature plaque that causes MI, not mature, one that causes over 50% constriction and are stable), shows lead time bias to show patient are living longer, but what happens is they are diagnosed earlier.  A lecture with some statis, clear sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNzQ_sLGIuA.  Very good

***** Targeting Energy Metabolism in Brain Cancer 21 min, 113,000 views by Prof Thomas Seyfried, leading research to audience of fellow scientists on how to starve cancer which depends on glucose metabolism and thus cause its apoptosis through ketogenic diet. Cancer cells have damaged mitochondria that metabolized glucose & glutamine-- read his Cancer as a Metabolic Disease s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBjnWfT8HbQ&hd=1 Excellent

WARNING THE RULING CLASS and PHARMA WANT TO DRUG YOU INTO COMPLANCY The FDA is approving sedative for hypertension, smoking, pain, pre-menstrual syndrome, muscle relaxants, COPD, and on and on.  If a drug makes you drowsy it is very likely a sedative.  Read the side effects and warnings:  sleep, drowsy, don't operate equipment and it is a sedative (unless it is an opioid or antihistamine).. Those who are drugged are more likely, because their mind is in a fog, to take every pill the doctor gives them, and vote for the 2-party corporate system.

Don’t mess with your brain, most sedatives are more addicting that opioids.  Opioids must be taken in reactional amounts to cause withdrawal syndrome, most sedatives in the high end of medicinal does will cause addiction, and the withdrawal often is more disabling than from opioids.

.

The Truth about Depression 97 min, 30,000, views, BBC slick pro-drug (promotes the sales pitch given by Pharma) documentary which argues that depression is real, affects behavior, has causes in the brain, and needs antidepressant to fix the problem, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVLAjowFkY4  Sucks

Instead of treating a people with a drug that makes them feel better long-term, pharma uses fat-soluble drugs that accumulate and remain in the body, with horrible withdrawal (very addicting), that cloud cognitive processes creating confusion, depression,  and make the patient dependent on his doctor:  they are tranquilizers labeled as a fix (anti-anxiety, etc.)   A number of the illicit recreational drugs perform much better than pharma’s downers:  Amphetamines for depression (as they were legally prescribed in the 50s), marijuana and opiates for anxiety, and LSD in a clinical situation with talk therapy for major neurosis (as done in the 60s). The issue of compliance with treatment would vanish if downers helped the psychiatric patients. They block dopamine, thus dull the pleasure centers of the brain, and worse, lower metabolism.  Behavioral therapy (distinguished form CBT) has been shown to work best for nearly all psychiatric problems.  Drugs only exasperate the problem—with a couple of exceptions--and nearly all are not the best therapy.

As to why there is so much drugs (reactional and psychiatric), and mental problems: the drugs relieve boredom, and thus are a short-term reinforce.  And we are a social animal which industry exploits through social engineering to set up peer groups and pharma controls the practice of medicine.  More fundamental is mitochondrial dysfunction which has damaged the carefully sculptured balance of brain receptors and neurotransmitter.  For more on that go to healthfully.org/rmb

7B.  Neuroscience and conditioning

The man with the seven second memory, 48 min, 1,262,000 views, BBC, about a rare accident that caused amnesia and how he and his wife cope with it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_P7Y0-wgos good

***** The hacking of the American Mind 33 min, 15,000 views, Prof. Robert Lustig, UCTV, interview, he raises two points, one is the difference between pleasure which is short term and happiness which is a state of mind and is long term.  We have through corporate media been turned into pleasure seekers.  He compares dopamine to serotonin and explains the role of dopamine action in the brain’s pleasure centers that create addiction through tolerance, thus requiring greater amount for the pleasure.  Dopamine (pleasure) down regulates serotonin.  Serotonin causes the state of mind that produces long-term happiness, short on love, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKkUtrL6B18 Long version 90 min. SF public library https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4sRsb0a30Y Important

*****Demonstrating Operant Conditioning (1971) 27 min 8,900 view, BF Skinner, produced and directed by Ellen Reese’s undergraduate class, demonstrates how environment shapes behavior, uses a pigeon and skinner box to shape behavior.  Very effective in showing how with a simple bird’s learning can be controlled.  Good quality for a nearly 50-year-old lecture.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDM4E2c3gS8 Excellent

*****Why habits form and how to control then 12 min, 287,000 views, What I’ve Learned, a voyage into psychology, a good intellectual train on think about what we are, and how the brain controls., he calls it building habit.  On learning and much more https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls_VFIU1Dv4 Excellent

Why do we find Satisfying things so Satisfying? (Neuroscience and Pleasure),18 min, 93000 views, in 4 weeks, What I’ve learned. A good mixture of neuroscience, and behavior, including pleasure-centers, dopamine, and more.  Gets the view on the right path by avoiding the bad science of the popular cognitive psychology.  Misses evolutionary psychology, and deeper neuroscience issues.  Doesn’t stress enough how’s in charge (the brain& how good start.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qr0JMv2uYxQ  Good

How the internet ruins productivity (by design) 12 min, What I’ve Learned

Testosterone 22 min, 5,000 views, ABC Catalyst Series, Maryanne Demasi, too much on cognitive psychology (crapolla), missed or didn’t stress health benefits, lower rate of prostate cancer dementia, mood elevation, dementia, and  cardiovascular disease (a strong heart muscle is more likely to survive an MI).  Weak science, entertaining [pharma opposes testosterone] Shttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYc_pPCUvqA  Good

Testosterone:  The making of a man, 42 min, German commentary in English by Australian doctor Marianne Demas, for much more educated audience than the 5th grade US standard.  Question of testosterone aggressive behavior misses the obvious, that testosterone makes on feel better via improved health, endurance, and muscles strength--if those muscles have been used during supplementation—thus more assertative.  Full of cognitive psychology crapolla (pure mind separated from the brain, body, evolution, and mammals). https://topdocumentaryfilms.com/testosterone-making-man/ skip

I bought a Google Chromecast for $35.  It allowed me to stream from my laptop to the television.  I have the laptop by the couch, and I have a stereo hooked up to the television.  I plugged the Chromecast into the HDMI outlet on the Sony Stereo.  Then Google disabled casting from the computer 2016.

The Sony laptop is now hooked up to my Vizio TV by a 20 foot HDMI cable.   A much better experience than a computer monitors and small speakers or the TV’s tinny speakers.

Want to know what is causing the obesity epidemic watch those videos.  Get it going; this is a superior learning format, and it will motivate you more than a book or my research papers to do the right thing--and share the experience.
