One of the problems with the for-profit system is that where public health effects profits,
the needed research is seldom done, or it is buried in some journal where the significance of its results is hardly noticed. I wonder what is the life expectancy of house painter, of car mechanics, of bus drivers,
and what are their health risks? If you know of a Chapman’s Homer for occupational
risks, then contact us at thinker@healthfully.org. (Chapman’s Homer is a 17th century
translation of his works, which help the college students translate the Iliad and Odyssey.)
